Not having enough information beforehand, I'll hedge my bets and generate the hardest mode of a fixture type just to make certain I understand the channel and functionset structures and how they'll work when rendering. To this end recently I was tasked with visualizing the Sola Wash 37 LED. I went ahead and pounded together the 'mapping' mode version of the fixture. It rendered well, even the indigo highlighter.
I present to you the finished version. Not being needed or used on the Project of major proportions, I'll release it to the Community, as the Rex I am. Sorry no preview image[since corrected, attached above] as I'm sitting at the terminal ready to be 'leaving on a jet plane', as the song goes; if you're old enough to remember that tune. You can join me kiddies, it's a sing-a-long.
Beware! Not fully tested against the HES technology itself and Rex understands it to be less than stellar, the technology that is.. The 'ring' mode version profile we managed to pull together, Thanks Norm for finding the flaw!!, does not work as intended and we determined it's within the HES technology itself. Beware of NO GREEN/NO BLUE on a real instrument. I do sincerely hope HES figures out their profile structure better and the polarity of their channelsets in a less-than-insane protocol. Why you invert channel ranges or polarity randomly?; it's problematic.
Enjoy....as usual. Someone report back on a real fixture so we can 'body shame' HES into taking steps to explain their technology better.
Rex
I've included an animated .GIF to show the channel order. CH1=ALL, CH1.1=Indigo Highlight, Ch1.2-38=Pixels
