If I want to take selection of a group into an effect only if the effect is template (or if there is no fixture selected to it). Is there a way?

another way to solve my problem is if there's a way to take selection only if a certain group (in a certain order!) is currently selected for the effect.

I want after a show to clone symetric effect to the symetric clone and the nonsymetric effect to the non symetric clone. I created 2 different sets of fixtures of clones for the sym and nonsym groups so at the start of the show I clone nonsym clones to nonsym "real" and sym clone to sym "real".
