Replace Fixture 1 With Fixture 999
-> Fixture 999 takes over the job of Fixture 1
(All data stored anywhere for Fixture 1 is moved to Fixture 999)
Replace Fixture 2 With Fixture 1
-> Fixture 1 takes over the job of Fixture 2
(All data stored anywhere for Fixture 2 is moved to Fixture 1)
Replace Fixture 999 With Fixture 2
-> Fixture 2 takes over the job of Fixture 999
(All data stored anywhere for Fixture 999 is moved to Fixture 2)
--------
1) Do I need to create the dummy channel first?
you can use an existing fixture as dummy, but all its stored data will be lost in first step, so unless you have an expendable/unused fixture, you need to create it first.
2) Will the dummy channel be added to all of the presets, groups, and cues by the replace command.
only temporary
3) Will I need to go through and remove the dummy channel?
No, the third step will move all data from the dummy back to the actual fixture.
