Yes I have read the manual of course. But when exactly does the DMX value change, and with what behavior?by Hwellink - grandMA2 discussion forum
Dear Ryan, This works for me! The only problem I have, is when I want to reset the color back to white. If i do this: Assign Channel 61 /color=16777216 the color goes to black or no color at all! Is there a way to reset the color to white, or is this a bug in the console? Regards, Harmby Hwellink - grandMA2 discussion forum
Hi All! Does anyone know what the exact use of the "Trigger" column is in the fixture builder? There is only one short line of text in the online help about this column. This didn't really help me much. I've tried to make a test fixture with a trigger attribute and looked at the DMX sheet, but I don't really know what happens, when this attribute / DMX channel counts up, and hoby Hwellink - grandMA2 discussion forum
I've found a way to change the color of text output to the command line output window, and the system monitor window. It uses ASCII Escape codes. These are special characters and character combinations that are not directly sent to the screen, but interpreted as control characters for the console output window. (Information about ANSI Escape codes on WIKI) Usage: Output this text to the conby Hwellink - grandMA2 Plugins & Lua Scripts
Thanks for your reply. The problem still occurs over here, also with LTP priority and with Soft LTP enabled. Maybe it has something to do with my effect? It's strange, because my effect is absolute, not relative...by Hwellink - grandMA2 discussion forum
Hi all, Something is bothering me: I have to executors, one with a sequence with a stack of dimmer effects, the other one with everything on full. The problem occurs like this: 1) I put the executor with everything on on 50% 2) Now I slowly push up the executor with one of my effects (Dimmer chase) 3) The effect adds up to the value of 50%, so whilst both of my faders are under 50%, theby Hwellink - grandMA2 discussion forum

Just enter ListVar or ListUserVar in the Commandline of the console. The commandline response window will then show you a list of variables.by Hwellink - grandMA2 Plugins & Lua Scripts
Hi there, It's me again.. I'm having issues with effects referring to high-low values from presets. I use macros to change those presets, to make a lot of color bumps for example with only a few effects. It works, except from the fact that I have to run the macro twice for the effect to keep up. Is this a bug in the software?' The solution I have now is that I copy the color preset toby Hwellink - grandMA2 Macro share
Hi All! I am currently working on a few LUA scripts and macro's to make my life with GrandMA2 much easier. Now I have stored some useful information in the info field of each cue in a sequence, is it also possible to use this information in a script/macro? The following command shows the content of my info field in the Commandline Feedback, but it's not usable in a Macro or in a LUA plugin:by Hwellink - grandMA2 Plugins & Lua Scripts
Hi Eric, The getvar function is to get variables from the console or session. You can get a list of variables in the console by entering one of the following commands in the commandline: ListVar ListUserVar These show a list of used variables in the commandline feedback window. You can find more about these variables on help.malighting.com. With regards, Harm Wellinkby Hwellink - grandMA2 Plugins & Lua Scripts
I have found the file in my ProgramData folder on Windows. The folder is usually hidden, so the way to go is: C:\ProgramData\MA Lighting Technologies\grandma\gma2_V_3.1.2\plugins If you're running another version number, the folder is named differently ofcourse. Don't know if there is an easier way to find it, but this worked for me! In the plugin_1 file are some demo scripts and is a simby Hwellink - grandMA2 Plugins & Lua Scripts
It is, however, possible to run LUA commands directly from the commandline, and that means also from a macro. The correct syntax is LUA "--LUA Syntax" If you want to run a plugin, simply call Plugin x With Regards, Harm Wellinkby Hwellink - grandMA2 Macro share
Maybe you could use one macro per sequence you want to go to: For sequence A for example On Sequence 1 On Time 5 Off Sequence 2 Thru 5 Off Time 5by Hwellink - grandMA2 Macro share
Hi there! I am trying to change filters using a macro, but i can't find the right syntax for it. I tried working around, by making different basic filters (Color, Iris, Focus, etc) and copy and merging them into one filter, but merging doesn't seem to work, as only the last copied filter remains in the new place. Hope anybody can help me out here, Thanks!by Hwellink - grandMA2 Macro share
Dear users, I'm a pretty advanced GrandMA 2 user but for a project I'm doing currently only able to use a GMA1 UL. I used the DMX keyword to test for output on a channel but how can I release it? The GMA2 way of doing it does not work and the manual can't help me out. Thanks a lot!by Hwellink - grandMA1 Discussion forum
