Sounds like you're accidentally toggling Program Time Manual XFade on and off unknowingly. You'll see a virtual fader for Program Time at the right side of your encoder bar. When the "Manual XFade" button has a green square in the top right, it's enabled and you won't see programmer values output until sliding the program time fader all the way up.
