Are you running MA3D as a windows administrator? Right-click on the desktop icon and choose {Run as Administrator}, or to make it always do that, right-click, go to Properties, go to the "Compatibility" tab, check the box near the bottom that says "Run this program as a Windows administrator" (or something along those lines), Apply and Close.by Ryan Kanarek - 3D forum and file share

Right-click = Edit, so press and then tap the object in question. Long-press also still works in spreadsheet cells.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
There is a bug where in specific circumstances updating a preset as Global will store as selective if you don't have all the attributes of a feature activated. Perhaps that's what you're experiencing.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
There's a predefined macro to export the sequence sheet.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
As I mentioned, you can change this via syntax (and thus a macro).by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
Another approach would be to have one set of RGB faders with all of your fixtures in them. Then have a macro that takes the current selection, stores it as a world, and assigns that world as a playback filter on your faders.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
Is your Encoder Link (button between {Gobo 1} and {Value Layer} and above 1st encoder) set to "Link Feature"? Try changing it to "Link Single."by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
You want the fader to control both executors simultaneously? Or you just don't want to go into the menu to change the Surface? The Surface can be changed via command line syntax - "Surface #" - and so could be put into a macro if you wanted.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
When you see this happen I would suggest looking at your Command Line Feedback to see what exact syntax was executed. I'm guessing you'll see a playback action with the Sequence targeted instead of the Executor. If you're not totally sure, feel free to post a picture here. Or you can always contact your local distributor (if you're not sure who that is, you can email tech-&by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
I think you're seeing a Sequence running from the Sequence Pool. When this happens, the Sequences are running on a virtual Executor with numbers like you are seeing. If you, for example, ever execute the syntax "Go Sequence #", you're running the Sequence in the pool (on a virtual Exec), not on the physical Exec to which you've assigned it.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
Or without variables: - Store Sequence (what sequence number?) Cue (what cue number?) ("label for cue?")by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 Macro share
If you're using Move In Black, this could potentially be the culprit.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
To answer the other part of the question though, I would not assume a fader moves to 0 just because the executor has turned off. In MA, fader position and executor status (on/off) are not inextricably linked. (They can be related in certain circumstances, but there is no rule saying an executor that is off must have its fader at 0, and an executor that is on must have its fader above 0.)by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
You could also have been trying to Record timecode triggers in a Sequence. For example if you pressed MA+Store and then tapped on an Executor. Next time, if you tap on the record icon on the right side of the command line the Message Center should tell you what you're recording and then just execute MA+Store (Record) plus that object again: - Record Exec 1.101 to start - Record Exec 1.101 agaby Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
Option 4: Create a custom Form (technically either three custom forms or one form with three sub-forms - you're creating one form for each color attribute). Something like this (adjusting RGB values as desired to get the actual color you want) X = 0 (Green) - Red Y = 0 - Green Y = 100 - Blue Y = 0 X = 33.33 (Yellow) - Red Y = 100 - Green Y = 100 - Blue Y = 0 X = 66.67 (Red)by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
Assuming you have your fixtures selected already... Attribute <name> At Fade x Delay y Presettype <name> At Fade x Delay y Presettype Thru At Fade x Delay yby Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
If you know the sequence, you can just say: - List Cue "name" OR - List Sequence # Cue "name"by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
If your macro name is unique and not a keyword, you can omit the quotes entirelyby Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
I'm curious what instructions you were looking at, as this process changed (to what Rex outlined) ~5 years ago.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
Is the node an "onPC" node or a regular node?by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
So to clarify... - You are able to get the dropdown to choose an IP address - You choose the IP address you want - You close and reopen onPC - It's still using the old IP address Is that an accurate summary?by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
Are you in a Session already? If so, make sure you leave the session first.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
@lelesp - note: if you use glad's suggestion of different FixtureType definitions, this will of course also mean different Global Preset values to manageby Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
If you always know which specific fixtures you're going to have selected then yes, just add a line to specify that this fixture gets +1 and that fixture gets -1. If you don't know which fixtures it will be, then not that I can think of without some sort of ridiculous Lua trickery.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum

DMX invert is not represented in Stage View or 3D - only in real life.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
Encoder Invert only applies to the encoders. If you want everything inverted you should use DMX Invert. This will apply to stored values as well, which you could fix by doing something like: Replace Fixture x Thru y Attribute "Pan" At -400 Thru 400 With 400 Thru -400by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
