It sounds like you want an LTP merge option, or a priority merge option, neither of which MA2 has.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
Patch only (Live) -> DMX List -> DMX In Merge column will either be HTP (highest takes precedence) or LoTP (lowest takes precedence). Your universe(s) is(are) probably doing an HTP merge, thus if the default values from the console are non-zero (e.g. pan/tilt are probably at 50%), you can't go below those values using the external controller. If you set the Merge to LoTP, and then put alby Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
You might check out the steps in this bulletin - they should be applicable to your situation: (open link in new tab)by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
You could try using the "StoreLook" command instead, or the option "Look" in the lower left section of the Store Options. This stores: - Dimmer information for all fixtures - All other attributes for fixtures with dimmer above zero - No other attributes for fixtures with dimmer at zero - Active information for fixtures that don't have a dimmer attributeby Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
CueOnly is only relevant for adding information to cues earlier in the sequence than the last cue. Essentially, CueOnly says "don't change any of the already-existing information in my later cues." And it only affects that single store operation, not anything that might happen afterwards. If you store your first cue as CueOnly, it doesn't matter because there is no other currently-existby Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
The NPUs license the parameters. Once you have the NPUs connected and in session so the parameters are licensed, you can output DMX however you like (e.g. from the NPUs' 5-pin ports, from the onPC wings' 5-pin ports, from MA nodes, via Art-Net/sACN/whatever).by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
You can invert the attribute, but this is dmx invert, not encoder invert. Assign Fixture x Attribute "name" /invert=on Make sure you're using the libraryname not the screenname. "List Attribute" to find the library name.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 Macro share
"Setvar $blah = @" doesn't work. You could use Glad's Intellivars to do this though.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 Macro share
Virtual parameters are included in the total count, but do not count against your license.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
You can't do it in all shows at once. Only show-by-show. I suggest you get in the habit of pressing {Check All}, or at least {User Profiles}, whenever you load a show. Otherwise, this will keep happening to you even after you delete the extra userprofiles from your shows.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
To be honest, that didn't clarify things for me at all. What's your native language? There's likely someone else here who speaks it.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
I'm not sure I understand the question. What are you trying to achieve or do with this information?by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
This is hardware related. Please contact your local distributor (that's us at ACT Lighting in the US - support(at)actlighting(dot)com).by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
What software version are you running? And how are you connected to the fixture (5-pin from onPC, MA-Node, 3rd-party node, direct ethernet, something else)?by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
(I hope this doesn't come across as argumentative or dismissive - I don't intend to be. I feel like this would be a much better / easier discussion to be had in person or on the phone.) When you say "15 faders for this and the other 6 for that and some virtual on-screen for this other stuff" you're describing how you currently have it set up in MA2, ja? But that's not what I'm askingby Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
Serious question: How many faders are you looking for? Forget thinking about it in terms of banks of 10 or 15. Just how many do you actually need? And what are you using them for?by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
Re-type it from scratch. I bet if you exported the macro and looked at the XML, you'd find some hidden character that the MA software isn't showing for some reason, but that got pasted in from the forum formatting.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
I just tested it again and it worked. Make sure you have spaces before each of the '/options'.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
"Remote 2.68" refers to the 68th MIDI Remote configuration line, but the the remote configuration line is unrelated to the actual note you're using. Assign Remote 2.1 /note=68 /type=exec /executor=6 /button=fader This would set the first MIDI Remote config line to listen to note 68, controlling the fader of executor 6.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
At the moment, the grandMA3 Extension is only planned to work with the grandMA3 Full-size, Light, and RPU. There is no grandMA3 onPC Fader Wing planned at the moment. The 10 faders on the command wing are motorized and there are 56 executors total (28 of which have rotary knobs). If you really need more physical faders, you can use DMX remotes, MIDI remotes, or OSC.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
You don't need the addresses to actually do anything other than output, so if they're just for cloning or whatever, then get rid of the addresses anyway. For the IDs, if you remove the ID the data is still there but inaccessible. So remove the IDs, and then just put the ID back when you need to clone.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
How about just enabling "Force Login" in Global Settings?by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 Macro share
Set the speed to 0 and then play with the phase. For the Store Options: * Source = Output * UseSelection = All for Selected * Set a Store Filter that's only MixColorby Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
