A common solution for this type of setup is to have an onPC station in session, and then remote desktop into that computer.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
When MSC Out is enabled, the console will automatically send it for the relevant executor(s - depending on your settings), when you move the fader or press a button. You do not need to write any Hex to do this. 1. It's a difference in whether the hex string includes a space or a period between the executor number and the page number. 2. If you have "Default Only" selected, theby Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
Add /nc (shortcut for /noconfirm) onto the end of the Search lines. Except for the last one, since that's the report you actually want to see. Search Fixture Thru If Sequence x /nc Search Attribute "Pan" If SearchResult /nc Also, I would add a small wait time at the end of each of these lines. Use the Search function: 1. Block Cue Thru If Attribute "Dim" 2. Search Fixture Thru If Sequence x 3. Search Attribute "Pan" If SearchResult 4. Search Attribute "Dim" At 0.1 Thru 100 If SearchResult The report from step 4 should be anywhere that the pan attribute exists (i.e. is actually stored and not tracked) when the Dimmer is greater than 0. Another option is to use 16-21 instead of 7-10, and then you can change surfaces via cmd syntax.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
onPC can't output DMX in any form without having licensed parameters from a piece of MA hardware that unlocks output from onPC (Command Wing, onPC Fader Wing, onPC Node, NPU).by Ryan Kanarek - VPU Forum and file share
No, it is still the case that you cannot output Art-Net without having licensed parameters from a piece of MA hardware that unlocks output from onPC (Command Wing, onPC Fader Wing, onPC Node, NPU).by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
They need to be in the "effects" folder inside the "gma2" folder. If your USB stick doesn't have the gma2 folder, then save a show to it which will create the folder tree.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 Effects share
Put simply, it's a multi-track audio file, with a timecode track, a click track, and maybe also the song. In this scenario, most likely the Audio team would be responsible for routing the correct tracks to the correct destinations (so that the console hears the timecode and the performers hear the click, and not the other way around).by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
Most likely this was done using Timecode. Essentially, Timecode is a signal used to synchronize any of lighting, audio, video (playback or recording), automation, etc. Assuming the concert was a live performance, the performers could have been playing along with a "click track" keeping tempo in their monitors, and that "click track" would have been synced to a Timecode signalby Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
glad mentioned this macro earlier: If Fixture *.1by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 Macro share
If the fixture is tracking a Stage Marker, you could use a Lua plugin to monitor the Stage Marker's position, and then blackout the fixture based on that.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
I'm not sure I understand the question. You have to connect the node to license its 2048 parameters; to connect the node, you have to be in session.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
The parameters remain licensed as long as the session lives.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
You can map externals to show internal screens in Setup -> Wing & Monitor Setup.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
I don't know the rest of your setup to know if this would break something else you're doing, but you could create an Art-Net Input line on your console to grab the output coming from the VPU. Then just get rid of the MA-Net output in your Pixel Mapper.by Ryan Kanarek - VPU Forum and file share
onPC fader wings cannot be connected to consoles - only to onPC. (Though you could of course put onPC in session with a console to be able to use those executors.) Every 5-pin XLR port in an MA system can be set to any universe you want. Change the configuration in Setup -> MA Network Configuration. As long as you have the parameters licensed, you can output them however you like, includby Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
So many ways... You could open a clock, set it to an unused TC Slot, and then use a macro to increment the start time of that slot's generator by 1 second every time it's run. You could create a dummy object of, really, any type, and relabel it using a similar macro to the above. You could create a custom fixture profile with a single attribute, and enable the "Trigger" columnby Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum

Tracking is a sequence property, not an executor property. Assign Sequence x /track=by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
You could make the cues you're wanting to loop into a separate sequence, and then trigger that loop sequence from the CMD cell of your main sequence.by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
Not sure what you mean by "it will start automatically." You would still have to press Go to start the cuelist. Then it will loop on its own. Is that not what you want? Perhaps you could clarify what you're actually wanting to have happen?by Ryan Kanarek - grandMA2 discussion forum
