Thanks for the response. It took me a minute but here's what I think I see is what you've suggested.

If I have a Chauvet Rogue RH1 Hybrid that I want to find the prism, which is channel 17 of 25 on fixture 1.315:

I've typed in:
List dmx 1.315
and I get a response but nothing more than PAN attribute, which is the 1st attribute

then I tried several things but the last thing that finally worked was:
List dmx 1.331 (which is the 17th DMX channel of the fixture) 1.315+17 (inclusive of 315 as the 1st channel, funny math, so really +16) = 1.331
-> this gives me a response that shows Attrib "EFFECTWHEEL"

Then, I can select the fixtures and type in
Attribute "EFFECTWHEEL"
It takes me to set of attributes in which somewhere hides my target. In my case, it was on encoder 3, tab 3.
